If your child is under 5-year-old AND new to our program, please sign up for a minimum of 4 weeks. To ensure that your young child has the smoothest transition, there will be a gradual transition schedule for all children under 5-years-old during the first week.

The transition schedule will be 1 hour on the first day, 2 hours on the second day, half-day on the third day and full-day on the fourth day. If your child is only attending our half-day program, then the transition schedule will only last 3 days. This is for NEW students only. We will send you a detailed transition schedule email prior to the start of the summer program.

Our daily schedule begins with a healthy, freshly-prepared breakfast and the etiquette of eating, followed immediately by a Montessori Work Cycle. During this important part of the day, children will be getting lessons in all the areas of the classroom, including Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Culture and Geography and Math. Around mid-morning, we will have a special activity of the day centered around the theme of the week.

Monday: Arts and Crafts

Tuesday: Culture, Geography, Natural Science

Wednesday: Cooking/Baking

Thursday: Music Appreciation, Music and Movement, Yoga

Friday: Outdoor Water Play, Bubbles, Frisbee, Sports

A healthy, nutritious, mostly-organic lunch and snack (see our current menu) is followed by outdoor play and an afternoon Work Cycle.

We will not have field trips this summer, but we still plan on the children having a lot of outdoor fun with their friends! We will have weekly water slide day in the backyard and walks to the park.

Our program is 100% Mandarin Immersion. Through art, culture, food, music and outdoor play, we will immerse the children in Chinese culture and language, so they are naturally absorbing the language while having fun.

Maria Montessori says that we must give the young child "the world." Our teachers have carefully prepared a nurturing environment and rich curriculum to make this summer a fun-filled and memorable one - full of exciting new things to learn!
